24th March - 7th April 2012Our fourth visit to this stunning location. Bridge holiday at the Meteor Hotel situated in the beautiful resort of Makarska Croatia. A walkers and artists paradise with either gentle strolls in the immediate vicinity or demanding mountain hikes just minutes away. Croatia is best described as a huge Lake district with magnificent peaks and stunning coastline views. Bridge is played in the comfort of an air-conditioned room and is under the friendly direction of Andrew Kambites. There will be a full programme of duplicate bridge which will appeal to players of all standards. Occasional bridge seminars on specific subjects will be held. Events will include Swiss pairs or teams. Master Points will be awarded at all sessions of five tables or more. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of all events including open pairs. Smoking: There will be no smoking permitted in the playing area. The Meteor Hotel is ideally situated with magnificent views over peaks and the Dalmatian coast. All bedrooms are well equipped and have side sea views. There are cafes and local bars in the immediate vicinity with a 5 minute flat walk into the heart of Makarska itself. There is a lovely marina with numerous shops, bars & cafes where you can sit and relax or watch the local fishing boats sell their catch to individuals and restaurateurs. The cost of this all
