Winchester
13th - 17th March 2008
Our first visit to The
Winchester hotel was a great success.
We received lots of compliments relating
to the location and staff. We are looking
forward to receiving dates and prices
for next year and will obviously publish
full details when known. |
Vilamoura
Portugal 17th - 31st January 2008.
Our last visit to the
Vilamoura Beach Hotel. They call things
like this "sod's law" and so
it proved to be again. It
has always been our most popular venue
and this year everything went better
than ever, we had 14 days of unbroken
sunshine, people were raving about the
food, service and friendliness of the
staff. Our thanks as always go
to all who attended, the management and
staff of the hotel and Graham & Berry
Hedley our directing team. In any event
things never stand still so
next
year
we are
going
to the
hotel next door. The Dom Pedro Golf Resort
Hotel. Having talked to many who have
been with us in Vilamoura we decided
it was ridiculous to change a winning
formula, everything about the location
is right, it's on the level, by the sea,
there are shops and cafe's in the immediate
vicinity. Our visit to the Dom Pedro
Golf is from the 22nd January - 5th February
2009. Please click here for
full details.

Madeira
19th - 26th November 2007
What a fabulous break.
The food, service, and facilities were
excellent. The weather was slightly unkind
to us especially as up to the week before
it had been very prolonged sunny period.
The rain when it came was spectacular
but it failed to dampen anyone's spirits
or enthusiasm. The British really are
a stoic lot. Many thanks as always to
Andrew Kambites for his professionalism;
(and very tongue in cheek his humour)
to Ann Clark and the Atlantic holidays
rep Rita Abreu, plus the management and
excellent staff. Most importantly of
course the 77 participants who were light
hearted and fun to be with throughout. We
are returning next year but at a different
time. 8th
- 15th September 2008.Please
pricing. Apparently there is a wine festival.
We will publish more detail when we find
out exactly what's involved.

General
New
Year at Reading was extremely successful,
we are going to change the format slightly
next year as we can't always guarantee
the suitability of the live group on New
Years Eve. Next year 2008/2009 New Years
Eve we will have a gala dinner followed
by bridge and then back to the restaurant
for Champagne and Canapes to welcome in
the New Year, for those that want to join
in the dancing which will be held in one
of the suites, there is an open invitation.
Please remember if you have been on one
of our
holidays
in the preceding 12 months and have electronic
photographs we will be pleased to feature some
of them, or if there is one of you on the
site you like we will be delighted to send
it
to
you electronically. |
